Since our founding in 2018, Samuel Ministries has developed and grown in a positive direction. We are very proud of the diversity of our team, and their abilities to contribute their own unique experience and skills to our success. Find out more about some of our team members below.

SALIM

Co-Founder & Executive Director

As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Samuel Ministries and a former Muslim, Salim has a experience in cross-cultural ministry. Salim has worked with Refugees in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Salim is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with Muslims. Salim is dedicated to transforming lives and communities with the love of Jesus Christ. Salim wants to build productive relationships with the local Muslim Community by engaging in cross cultural community outreach. ​​Salim mobilizes believers and equips churches to reach Muslims.

Salim is passionate about telling the story of how God is at work through Samuel Ministries. He has a passion and desire to equip Christians and give them the necessary tools to approach Muslims and be able to answer their objections and questions and ultimately lead them to Jesus.

SUE ELLEN

Director of Communications

As Director of Communications, Sue Ellen engages people from all walks of life to the mission and vision of Samuel Ministries. Sue Ellen oversees and manages Samuel Ministries’ website, newsletter, marketing and community development.

A native Texan and passionate about sharing Jesus to the lost, Sue Ellen was raised as a Christian since birth. Sue Ellen accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and got baptized at the age of sixteen. However, Sue Ellen became a true follower of Jesus when she rededicated her life to the Lord in 2006.

 

Sue Ellen worked as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Unit at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital and Houston Methodist West Hospital taking care of post surgical patients. Currently Sue Ellen works for one of the largest medical insurance companies as an Inpatient Case Manager.

AZIZOU

Director of African Ministry

As a Director of African Ministry and a former Muslim, he understands the Islamic culture.


Azizou miraculously met Jesus Christ in 2016, when he was a U.S. diplomat. This encounter completely transformed his life. His love for Christ led him to leave his job and to dedicate himself to serving others.


Azizou has worked with Refugees in Ivory Coast and traveled throughout Africa. The experiences he had across Africa opened his eyes. Through his travels he saw a lot of religiosity in Africa, but not a relationship with God.


Azizou’s passion is about witnessing for Christ through Samuel Ministries to equip Christians and to give them the tools to approach Muslims and to eventually lead them to Christ. God is leading Azizou to touch other peoples’ lives.


Azizou is currently a PhD student in the Department of Religion at Rice University. Azizou has a servant heart and compassion to serve.

SALEEM

Director of Outreach/ Operations

Saleem has a bachelors degree in Accounting and Business Administration. Prior to surrendering to God’s calling to the ministry, he used to work for a regional CPA firm as a Senior Auditor. Saleem earned his Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in Dallas, TX.

Saleem has worked with refugees in Athens, Greece. His involvement in the Greece mission trip was definitely a life changing experience for him. In Saleem's words: "My heart is with Greece and all the people I met and touched their lives. I especially enjoyed sharing my testimony as a former Muslim to other Muslim refugees that I met while sharing the Gospel in Greece. This experience and all the people I met in Greece also touched my heart and changed my life forever."

Saleem has a passion for local outreach and proclaiming the Gospel among Muslims and Refugees. He is the most happy when reaching out and sharing the Gospel with unreachable people groups.
